Neue Heimat

Most of my purely documentary works are created by chance and are a combination of observations that trigger the need in me to take photographs.

Often all it takes is a walk – as here, near Bruchsal, to pass the time before the Christmas ceremony.

„Neue Heimat“ connects me with my family’s stories about the „Kalte Heimat“, which certainly looked very different – but somehow it represents the longings of its inhabitants, which always fascinate me.
