A suitcase, locked in the cellar, 18m below her flat, since 1999, filled to the brim with memories from the Berliner 90s, untouched.
After almost twenty years, Birgit has opened this suitcase and confronted the relics of her past. She uses documents and photographs to create a radically alienated version of her history, in which conflicts are pasted over, tensions retouched and fractures artfully puttied together.
We all have stories. Birgit Naomi Glatzel has one that keeps resurfacing.
